Expert Advice on Expat Taxes & Nomad Taxes
Are these buildings insulated? If so, what is the R value of the insulation? Do they have central heating? Is the plumbing plastic or metal? How cold does Winter get in Saranda, and for how long? Rather important questions that need to be addressed.
The year stay would not work for American travelers without a European passport but for all your European followers or those already with digital nomad or visas in a certain country it's great. I just wish the European Shengen visa would allow you to do six months at one time then six months out of the Shengen rather than the three month Shengen, three month out of Shengen. What was their thinking? That Americans, Canadians, Australians and others would fly back home for three months, then spend extra money buying another ticket, getting new travel insurance and going back to Europe? Do they want to discourage tourism? If someone wants to just see Europe, Spain, Italy, France, Greece which is really what a lot of first time travelers want to do in depth, six months would be a decent amount of time to see Europe. I like the balkans also, but most of them are now also Shengen.
All of these are too small and expensive. Stop setting up prices for real estate investors vs. homebuyers..
Hi Warren and Julie, thank you for the good presentation !
Offer 60k. They buy these 25k
Very helpful insights, thanks guys. Any observations for slow travelers without their on vehicle regarding public transit and ride share services in Montenegro (such as a Uber, Lyft or similar)?
What are some of the navigation, insurance and repair tools...that worked for you with your car?
This makes no sense. These prices are idiotic.
They are shocking!
Good information. Thank you Warren & Julie!
Our pleasure! Thank you for watching:)
Your videos are now so clear, over pricing, over places to stay, over grocery and stores near the air b and b and even have travel and medical insurance. You show us the transporation, the ferry to Italy. Thank you. The doggos are adorable. They gave the little dogs a very nice bed.
Thank you for watching:) We do our best to show the true cost and experience of each place we visit.
Kotor , Bar and Kolasin in this Autumn 🙏🙏
Autumn is my favorite time there.
Excellent information, thank you! Is is typical (or not) for global medical insurance policies to cover doctor's office visits? As in - for an annual physical exam, or periodic checkups with your cardiologist or dermatologist or OBGYN etc.? By cover, I mean cover cost after meeting annual deductible as I'm assuming these policies probably don't offer coverage for just a co-pay/co-insurance that we might experience in the US with medical insurance.
Excellent video. Another eye-opener. Thanks!! Born and raised in the USA but now in mid-60's and pretty sure there's now a better place to play out the home stretch. btw, it would be great if you could do a video about income tax considerations in a situation like yours (ie living in multiple countries). I assume you are still US citizens but wondering how your travels impact which country(ies) wants your income taxes? 😀
Thanks for watching:) we will keep that video idea in mind. Best of luck to you.
Guys, really enjoyed your video - very informative and well presented in a relaxed style. Wonderful job. How do you find getting around in Eastern Europe as English speakers (or do you speak the language of any of the countries, particularly Eastern European countries, discussed in the video)? Loved your Liam Neeson reference! So I take it you did not feel uncomfortable in Turkey?
Thanks for watching:) We appreciate the kind comments. We find getting around Eastern Europe very easy and rarely struggle with language barriers. We use Google translate a lot. We felt very safe in Turkiye.
thank you! we've heard so many different numbers on the passive income so I think we are good to go!
Excellent! Good luck 👍
Very good
Thanks for watching:)
Hi , Very interesting video ! I am retired and I would love to know more about the requirements to retire in Romania. Is there a minimum income and/or minimum stay after the 90 days , in order to keep your retirement visa ?
Please send an email to warrenjulietravel@gmail.com and we will get you in touch with the residency expert.
Perast has an excellent Neapolitanian pizzeria that is much more reasonably priced than what you paid.
I’m glad you know of a good one!
I looked into Polish citizenship four years ago, but an agency in Poland told me they didn’t think I would qualify because my grandparents came to the US prior to 1920. I also heard that if an ancestor that came from Poland was born before 1899 that negated that ancestor as a possible citizenship connection. However, I just found out that same grandfather returned to Poland during World War I to fight in the Polish army, so I’m hoping his lineage will work. I hope things worked out for you.
Sadly for me, it didn’t work out. I did an updated video. Good luck 👍
It's all about those fucking smelly investors!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Extortion and theft; that way ordinary people won't be able to purchase a property, and they'll spend their lives renting from these assholes: the fucking investors!
I would love to do this! Just found you and I am intrigued by how you managed this with dogs, as we have dogs. Looking forward to viewing more videos. I keep telling my husband it's more affordable than he thinks.
Thanks for watching us:)

Thanks for watching:)
With 3000 a month after tax you belong to the top 15% of earners in Germany.
Americans ruin everything.
Hi, Warren and Julie. I’m in need of some dental work, either in Southern/Eastern Europe or Turkey. Do you have any experience getting dental work outside the U.S. and if so, which country do you recommend? (I need one implant.). Thanks for any input you have…
Turkey is the best for that. We have had some dental in Ecuador, Turkey and Montenegro. Our friends had extensive work done in Turkey.
@@WarrenJulieTravelthanks!
As you getting older, International Health Insurance is very expensive, Travel Health Insurance, but coming back after three mos. but you have pay first.
Ohrid, MACEDONIA
:)
In its peak Bulgaria was 750 000 sq km ,almost all of the balkan peninsula and having acses to three seas the black, the adreatic and the aegean
Fantastic views!
Thanks! Thank you for watching:)
Beautiful **Video ❤️ I think the pandemic has taught people the importance of multiple sources of income, unfortunately having a job does not guarantee financial security. I really appreciate the transparency and giving people a fighting chance during these difficult times.
So True! I'm into stocks Investment, Forex trading, cryptocurrency investments, Real Estate Investments and I am making good profits from them all. I always encourage Investments.
I am interested in forex trading and stock investments, any recommendations? And much can I start with?
Most failures and loss on Investment usually happens when you invest without proper guide. It is best to have an investment *manager* who has in-depth knowledge about investing, to help you make money on your investment on your behalf.
Any reliable professional manager? I would love to communicate with them. Thank you so much.
I went from 3000 to 500,000 in 3 years.
There is no tourist tax in Bangladesh 😊
Nope. Many countries require it.
I would always try to not live in a place where cruise ships dock. The bars, restaurants, shops, etc are all designed to provide greatly overpriced, but very low quality products to take advantage of the unsuspecting tourists that are fascinated by the views.
These areas are definitely more expensive.
why don't you move back to Ecuador if doing Ecuador, Cuenca????
We do a lot of countries, and keep contact with many people in many locations.
Hey Warren & Julie!! We are looking for a retirement property and came across you guys!! Hope you're doing well and having fun!! Say hi to the pups for us!! Love ya!❤❤
Fantastic! Perhaps, you might want to check out our new Facebook group WJT Schengen House Swap if you are considering swapping your future house purchase for 30 to 90 days. It’s slowly growing. Thanks for watching:)
Great and fun video! In Portugal, we usually decline the couvert before the staff places them on the table.
We don’t have an option to decline couvert in the restaurants in Montenegro where it is added to the bill. I think we can potentially get takeaway and avoid it, but that is the only option I know about.
Oh man. 2 and 3 dollar pints !! Sign me up. I don't think my liver would survive. LOL The craft beers on east coast of US are 7 to 8 bucks a pint !! One place we no longer go to upped their pricing to 7.50 for 12 oz and 8:50 for 16 oz. So that's off our list. We have found a couple places that serve 5 dollar pints of good beer and one 6. Will have a couple at these places. Our friends and regulars at the other places have asked where we have been, and we flat out tell them the prices are too high. So more gatherings at home with store bought beer and homebrew. Seems the beer I make gets drank first. hmmmm...
I think prices have soared in the US. Thanks for watching.
Whoa the prices are crazy in Perast.. I don't drink beer but I wish the video could be longer :)
Thanks for watching and yes the prices have soared in the last few years.
Like Kotor, Budva, Bar, Petrovac, Herceg-Novi waterfront establishments, and much more expensive, huge new resort marinas, you're paying for the view.
12 to 20 euro per beer!? No thanks
Yep, I go once a year for my friend’s birthday. I’m happy with a Nicksicko
Beer info is excellent but we wine drinkers need some info also! Maybe next time...
When we do Kolašin we had a €1 glass of wine. However you’re looking at €3.50 and up at most places for a glass if local wine.
@@WarrenJulieTravel thanks. Not as cheap as beer but cheaper than wine in the US.
No offense Warren, but most of us would rather look at Julie...just saying😅
I agree 100% 😁
Scam advice is so valuable. Thanks Warren.
My pleasure, glad you liked the video 😁
Apart from the clothes, what is other necessity that you suggested must be brought with for slow travel?
We did this video after years of people asking for it. What we pack. Keep in mind, we travel with dogs by car:) What to Pack for Full Time Slow Travel in EUROPE | Retire Abroad ruclips.net/video/DeARwZOr__o/видео.html

If your're still near Kotor I can recommend you these restaurants: Joe's in Dobrota (Jedite kad Dzoa) for pizza or meat, Verige65 near Kostanjica - everything except for pizza or seafood (which is good, but overpriced), their sushi is amazing, in Kotor --> Fortuna Food, I'd recommend calamari in local bread lepenja, but everything there is good.... Hipnos in Risan --> fried calamari, but also meat is really good. Tramontana in Morijn --> best sandwiches at a good price + very nice terrace on the seafront
Nice recommendations, we have been to a few of these, I’ll have to Google the others. Just a few more days for me this trip unfortunately, I can try next time if they are open during the off season.
@@WarrenJulieTravel All of the restaurants I mentioned are open also outside of the season, some of them are closed mostly in February, as they are doing reconstructions + employees need to take vacation. Enjoy the rest of your stay! Can't wait to visit MNE myself, hopefully in September.
